A tool that talks to your subs and suppliers needs hard edges. These are the rules the Site Coordinator is being built to keep, written so you can hold it to them.
The switchboard
Who can it
contact?
Most of what could go wrong with an agent that sends messages is on this list, and almost all of it is off by default.
- Send texts to your own contactsWithin the rules. Every text is logged with the words that prompted it.
- Send texts to anyone elseOff. Numbers not on your contact list are never texted automatically.
- Send email without your clickOff. Replies are drafts. A person clicks send.
- Place a call without your tapOff. Calls out are triggered and confirmed by you.
- Use cloud modelsOff unless the client allows it. Local models are the default.

When it is not sure
Unclear stays
unclear.
If the agent cannot tell what it heard, it does not pick one. The entry goes to a row marked unclear, and you fix it with one tap.
Unclear · one tap
Due date for the panel rough-in. Heard: Thursday or Tuesday.
Fixed by you: Thursday.
Models
Local first.
Labelled.
Listening, thinking and speaking are separate stages with swappable providers. Each provider is labelled local or cloud, so a client’s policy can refuse cloud outright.

Five safeguards
built into the plan.
- 1
Numbers come from the record
Spoken dates, quantities and dollar amounts are read from the Jobfile, never from the model’s memory.
Ask “when is the delivery?” and the date is the stored one.
- 2
Keep the words
Every change is logged with the words it came from, so you can check what was actually said.
Each event in the log names the record it changed.
- 3
Email never auto-sends
Replies are saved as drafts. A person clicks send.
Even a one-word reply waits for you.
- 4
Texts stay on your list
Automatic texts go only to the contractor’s own contacts, and every outbound message is logged with its source.
A number that is not on your list gets nothing.
- 5
Unclear stays unclear
If the agent is not sure what it heard, the entry goes to an unclear row for a one-tap fix.
A blank is better than a guess.
Founding pilots
What a pilot
looks like.
Uptractor is a prototype and no customer results exist yet. Pilots are how we find out what holds up. The terms are plain.
Small and named
Three to five firms for 60 to 90 days, with a short list of named contacts.
Consent first
Written consent for call processing before any real call. State recording and messaging rules are reviewed first. An inbound call is never treated as permission for outbound marketing calls or texts.
A person in the loop
A person checks anything consequential or unclear before it is relied on. Email stays drafts.
Measured
Onboarding time, handling time, errors and outcomes are tracked before and after, and shared with you.
Pilot conversations
Know what the AI can—and cannot—do.
Uptractor is a prototype, and these rules are the bar it is being built to. If that matters to how you run jobs, we would like to talk through a pilot.
