UptractorRequest a pilotHow it works · Prototype
Subs and suppliers call, text or email. Uptractor listens, picks from a short list of allowed actions, writes the result into the Jobfile, and answers from the record.

From a quick call
to a clear job update.
Marcus: “Push the panel rough-in at Oakline to Thursday.”
Listen
Voice detection finds where you stop talking, and speech-to-text writes it down as it is said. You can cut in mid-sentence.
Decide
A language model picks one action from a fixed list of eight. If it is not on the list, it cannot be done.
Record
The action writes to the Jobfile. Dates, quantities and amounts are stored as data, with the words they came from.
Answer
The reply is read from the record: spoken on the call, sent as a text, or saved as an email draft for you.
Text to Marcus: “Confirmed: panel rough-in at Oakline moved to Thursday.”
The whole list
Eight actions.
Nothing else.
The agent has a fixed set of tools. Short list on purpose: fewer things it can do means fewer things that can go wrong.
Read email
Pull new messages in and pick out jobs, dates and requests.
Draft a reply
Write the answer and hold it. You click send.
Send a text
To your own contacts only, within the rules.
Place a call
Only when you trigger it and confirm it.
Log a work order
Who, what, which job, and by when.
Log a material
Supplier, item, quantity and need-by date.
Log a cost
Tagged to the job, with where it came from.
Ask the job
Look something up in the record before answering.
What it may do alone
Each channel
has its own leash.
Phone, text and email carry different risks, so each has its own rule.
Phone
On its ownAnswers with a narrow script: take a message, confirm an order, read back open work orders.
Needs youAny call going out. You trigger it and confirm it.
Text
On its ownSends to your own contacts, within the rules. Every text is logged with the words that prompted it.
Needs youAnyone who is not on your contact list.
Reads new mail and drafts replies.
Needs youSending. Email never goes out without your click.
Swappable by design
Local first.
Cloud if you say so.
Listening, thinking and speaking are separate stages. Each can run on your own machine or in the cloud, chosen in settings, never hard-coded. Every provider is labelled local or cloud so a client’s policy can refuse cloud outright.

No new app
for your crew to learn.
The enemy is the verbal agreement nobody wrote down, and the Sunday-night paperwork session that follows. Uptractor is a coordinator with a filing system and an approval queue, not an autonomous negotiator.
More than messages
An answering service takes a message. Uptractor turns the call into a work order, material or cost record, and reads it back.
Nothing for subs to learn
Subs call, text or email one number, the way they already do. No app, no account, no login.
It does not agree for you
It records what was said and confirms the record. It does not approve price or scope changes on your behalf.
Pilot conversations

Uptractor is a prototype. If you coordinate subs and suppliers by phone, text and email, we would like to talk through a pilot.
